James Lau studied War Studies and Philosophy at Kings College London before attending the College of Law. James decided a career in law was the natural choice given his love of reading and innate pedantry, and was also inspired from a young age by family members in the legal profession. He carried out his training contract at Lu Oliphant and has stayed on after qualifying as a Solicitor in 2009 and is now a partner of the firm.
James focuses on commercial and residential conveyancing both freehold and leasehold, for investors, companies, and entrepreneurs, as well as private individuals and acts for both Landlords and Tenants. He is also experienced in employment, civil litigation, immigration, corporate and financial work.
Outside of the office James is an avid reader and can usually be relied upon to recommend a good restaurant. He is also a keen martial artist and fencer.Contact James Lau All members
